NATJA Gold Medals!

Today, the North American Travel Journalist Association's annual travel writing contest winners were announced, and I won two gold medals and a bronze! Feeling Olympian. Golds went to "Ghost Towns, Puffins and Unspoiled Views," a story on Newfoundland's rebounding Bonavista Peninsula published in the New York Times, and "Economic Booster," the story behind the architecturally stunning and community-supporting Fogo Island Inn, also in Newfoundland. Proving I can write about more than Maritime Provinces, bronze went to "How to Sport Like an Irishman" in Virtuoso Life.
